On demand bus service to Macquarie Park

Keoride on demand bus service has recently launched in the Macquarie Park area following a successful trial in the Northern Beaches. Staff living within 7.5km of Macquarie Park can use an Android or iPhone App to book the on demand shuttle bus service to take them to or from the University, which could save you both time and money.

We speak to Adam Anderson, Executive Officer in the Property Office, who’s been using the service to travel to work.

How would you describe Keoride?
The Keoride service is an on-demand mini bus that operates along the lines of Uber, operating from 6-10am and 3-7pm. It picks you up from near your home and drops you at a destination point in Macquarie Park, including the University campus. In my case, this is on Culloden Road, just behind the Property Office.

Where have you been using the service to get to?
My journeys have been from Thornleigh to the University in the mornings.

Did it save you any time or money?
Yes, I’m saving around 10-15 minutes getting to work. It only costs $5.60 per journey, which is great value.

How would you describe your experience of using Keoride?
Excellent – the drivers are very pleasant, the buses are clean and the Keoride App advises you how far away they are. My trips to work have been fantastic.

Would you recommend Keoride to other staff?
Yes, I would. Particularly if you live close to the Uni and drive each day – less stress and you don’t have to look for parking!

Any other comments about the service?
For people living away from a railway station, this service provides a really convenient public transport option. It will make getting to the Uni from suburbs such as North Wahroonga, North Turramurra, South Turramurra, St Ives and West Pymble so much easier.
