Events and catering changes – do they affect you?

Events play an important role at Macquarie, helping to showcase the University, its research and achievements, as well as creating great experiences for students, staff and partners.

There have been a number of recent changes to how events and catering are supported on campus.

With the decommissioning of Campus Hub and the production kitchen at the end of last year, we said farewell to the Crunch Catering and Events team. For more than 10 years, Crunch were the go-to team for catering and events on campus, supporting thousands of events and activities.

The new Events and Domestic Protocol team are here to support University events, and event catering needs, as well as providing domestic protocol support, and managing the new function spaces in building 18 Wally’s Walk.

The new team is positioned to better support the requirements of the University, with Events Partners aligned to faculties and divisions. Along with some new faces, you will no doubt recognise some familiar faces from the former Events and Crunch teams.

Events and Domestic Protocol have partnered with Forte Catering and Events to provide event catering services for the University. Forte is a premium caterer and food creator for some of the largest and most prestigious events in Sydney. With a passion for exquisite cuisine, and a dedication to professional service, Forte has established itself as one of Sydney’s leading culinary experts.
