The University’s Accident and Health Lines insurance provider has now changed from Chubb to AIG effective from Wednesday 1 November 2017.
Why the change
Insurance provider AIG offered the University the most competitive renewal premium, cover terms, and claims handling system.
Important information for impacted staff
- While our insurance provider is changing, there is no change to our emergency assistance provider: International SOS
- The cover to you as an endorsed MQ traveller is the same.
- If you have purchased leisure travel insurance from Chubb’s leisure travel insurance portal, it remains valid. The new leisure travel insurance portal will be announced soon.
- All the travel confirmation received by Chubb for upcoming trips will be automatically covered by AIG.
- Campus and STA travel will update your itinerary with the new AIG travel insurance policy number.
- The claims process is unchanged. If you have a loss, contact the insurance office.
