Academic Appeals Policy and Procedure

The Academic Appeals Policy and Procedure are now in effect.

The Policy establishes the principles governing appeals against an academic decision of the University.  The Procedure establishes that the grounds for an appeal are limited to procedural fairness and provides further information for students seeking to an appeal a decision made by the University about:

  • admission and readmission
  • disruption to studies
  • recognition of prior learning
  • suspension and exclusion, or
  • termination of higher degree research candidature.
The Policy does not apply to Grade Appeals, academic misconduct or complaints.
