Highlights from IWD and the Gender Equity Strategy launch

library1

A series of morning teas were held across Macquarie last week to celebrate International Women’s Day and mark the launch of the new Workplace Gender Equity Strategy.

Nicole Gower, HR Director, says she is looking forward to driving the strategy across the University, and seeing its positive impact take hold.

“Thank you to all who attended last week’s International Women’s Day morning teas. By all accounts, the events were a huge success; congratulations, and thank you all for getting behind the idea. With 12 events involving over 1000 staff, we heard stories of home-baked cupcakes, trivia and even a few babies in attendance. The level of support for the new Gender Equity Strategy has also been uplifting. Thanks to all who sent through comments and gave feedback; it’s been a huge collaborative effort and we couldn’t have done it without your contribution.”

Check out the highlights from the various morning teas below.
