A series of leadership appointments were announced recently:

• Professor Charles Areni will step down as Interim Dean of the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) on 27 May and depart Macquarie University in mid-June.
• Following his departure, Professor Norma Harrison, who has been serving as Vice Dean since March, will act as Interim Dean of MGSM while the MGSM/Faculty of Business and Economics alignment project continues.
• Imtiaz Bhayat, General Manager of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, has been appointed to the new role of MGSM Executive Director, Finance and Operations, effective 30 May. The role will provide operational leadership for the School and its professional staff, with a greater focus on the management and delivery of services and support for our academic mission.
• Dr Emma Bowen has been appointed as General Manager in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. This position  has been combined with a new formal role within the Chief Operating Office & Deputy Vice-Chancellor portfolio. She will join the University in mid-June.
