More than 200 students at the Macquarie Scholars Connect Reception 2016 were recognised by the Vice-Chancellor Professor S Bruce Dowton for their hard work and commitment in being awarded a scholarship, or for inbound and outbound mobility at Macquarie University.

Hosted by Macquarie International, this annual event celebrates domestic and international scholarship students and is one of Macquarie International’s signature events.

Scholars and staff across faculties and 16 scholarship groups were brought together to celebrate and network while enjoying great conversation with the executives from the University which included Vice-Chancellor Professor S Bruce Dowton, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor John Simons, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Mr Timothy Beresford, Interim Executive Dean (Faculty of Business and Economics) Professor Kevin Jameson, Executive Dean (Faculty of Human Sciences) Professor Simon Handley, and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) Professor Sherman Young.
