The Macquarie University Library is now running its major biennial user survey. The LibQUAL+® survey benchmarks our library against more than 1200 libraries around the world and suggests areas where we can improve our service.
Complete the survey and enter the draw to win some great prizes including an iPad mini, a Fitbit, and Macquarie Centre vouchers.
The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete and all responses are anonymous. A summary of the results will be available later this year.
In the last survey in 2014, 93% of users reported being satisfied with the Library, particularly with the attention and courteous help given to them by library staff. The Library also scored above Australian and world averages on all questions about the building.
Some of the changes the Library has made in response to previous survey results include:
- Extending loan periods, simplifying penalties for overdue items, and making it easier to collect hold requests
- Adding more seats, opening more presentation pods and improving signage for quiet and group study areas
- Introducing a computer booking system and refreshing the entire computer fleet
- Changing the location and functionality of key features in MultiSearch
- Activating an additional 12 databases for Alumni
